How old is too old for a binkie or a pacifier?

Should parents make a big deal if their child is still taking a pacifier at age 2 or 3 or 5?  Is it anyone else's business if your child is still taking a paci?  I am so sick of family members being on my back about my child taking a paci.  This is our choice and I wish they would stay out of our business.  Anyone else having the same trouble as me?
